Ms. Joey Chan

With nearly 25 years of experience teaching English to children and adults, Miss Joey, who is also diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and anxiety, has committed herself to leveraging her personal learning challenges and teaching experience to help students improve their English skills. Over the years, she has taught over two thousand students of various ages at kindergartens, primary schools, and her own learning centre. She excels at assisting them in finding the most suitable learning methods based on their attention and literacy difficulties.

In early 2015, Miss Joey began posting 'Word of the Day (English version)' on social media platforms, using amusing bilingual techniques to correct common errors. In early 2016, Crystal Window Books invited her to compile these posts into a book titled 'Miss Joey's Daily English Word'. In 2016, Miss Joey was invited to teach English pronunciation on the popular radio program 'When I was Young I Listen to the Radio', hosted by Dodo Cheng on 903 FM, sharing the joy of learning English with a broad audience every week in a new segment called 'Let's Learn English!'.

By completing her Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Laurentian University in 2022, Miss Joey aims to offer mental and emotional support to students on top of sharing her knowledge of English. She also challenged her anxiety by participating in the "Midlife, Sing & Shine" competition hosted by TVB Jade Channel at the end of 2022, where she advanced to the top 26.
