Jared Dubbs is a dedicated counselor specializing in ADHD, ASD, neurodiversity, and LGBTQ+ support. With a master’s degree in counseling from Monash University and a background in education, Jared blends professional expertise with personal experience, having been diagnosed with ADHD at age 7. This personal connection drives his passion for helping others navigate their unique challenges.

Jared is committed to supporting the neurodivergent community by addressing struggles with compassion, understanding, and validation. He recognizes that ADHD and ASD often come with additional challenges like anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. Jared is one of the few practitioners of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) in Hong Kong, a therapy that equips clients with crucial skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness. These skills are particularly beneficial for those with ADHD and ASD, helping them better manage their emotions and relationships.
In addition to DBT, Jared practices Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which helps clients develop a stronger sense of self, understand their core values, and take meaningful steps toward their goals. This approach is particularly effective for individuals with ADHD and ASD, providing them with tools for greater self-awareness and effective life management.

Jared’s holistic approach goes beyond addressing primary symptoms to tackle the executive functioning challenges often associated with ADHD and ASD. He works with clients to improve organizational skills, time management, and overall productivity, making daily life more manageable.

At his Central office, Jared runs an adult ADHD support group, offering a safe space for adults with late-life diagnoses of ADHD and ASD. He also works extensively with teens and young adults, providing individual sessions and support groups designed to foster a sense of community and belonging.

In addition to his clinical work, Jared is an active advocate for neurodiversity. He has been a key speaker at neurodiversity events and has contributed to various panels on ADHD, sharing insights to raise awareness and promote understanding. His advocacy ensures he stays at the forefront of developments in the field, continuously enhancing his practice with the latest research and techniques.

Jared’s office, located on Hollywood Road in Central, is easily accessible. He is currently accepting new clients and is eager to help more individuals on their journey toward better mental health and well-being, offering a compassionate and knowledgeable approach tailored to the unique needs of the neurodivergent community.
