Mr. Kwok Ling-lam

For the past five years, the focus has been on promoting Special Educational Needs (SEN)-related work within the Scout Association of Hong Kong. Workshops were organized for Scout leaders on SEN issues to help them understand how to interact with young people with special needs. By sharing successful cases and experiences, there was an active effort to enhance leaders' awareness and understanding of SEN.

In addition, suggestions were provided and assistance given to design or adjust Scout activities, ensuring that SEN members could participate and receive adequate support and assistive tools during the events. Special attention was also paid to the social development of SEN youth, encouraging them to build friendships and strengthen their sense of belonging through Scout activities.

To further support Scout leaders, assistance was provided in developing specific teaching materials and toolkits for SEN, helping leaders more effectively support members with special needs."
